The title says it all. Personally, I'm hoping it will add:


-better caves. I'm pretty sure just about everybody wants this. Right now caves are just big holes with a bit of lava and a few ores. Stalactites and stalagmites would be great, new ores... etc.

-Deserts. Right now Minecraft deserts have almost nothing in them. Sure, normally deserts are pretty much just sand, but it would be awesome to see scorpions, oasis, snakes, and maybe even a new tree!

This is mainly my take on it, but I hope they reduce the amount of ravines being generated. And yes, I do agree on having better caves, they seem pretty dull considering it has been the same atmosphere in my opinion.

I'm thinking a function will be added towards the smithing table and fletching table.

Perhaps the smithing table will allow players to craft more weapons besides the ones we have.

The fletching table might make arrows easier to craft.

Better server support. A lot of my 1.14 servers seem to crash tons. They say 1.14 is unstable.

-Dirt slabs and stairs
-Improved caves
-At least 1 new ore (cobalt, copper, lithium, nickel)
-Armor and weapons with said new ore
-Dark oak forest huts (decent loot in them: saplings, sugar, hoes, leather armor, maybe an iron ingot)
-Lawn blocks
-Be able to sit down on stair blocks used for chairs

more furniture and craftables and storage options in general. i feel like a lot of mods use ideas that could be implemented very well in-game. like TheDaeruin's basket mod for 1.12. it would be a fun feature to see in the vanilla game that i think all players would enjoy.

Well I hope it will be a cave update + combat update, caves right now in minecraft are useless, its more fun to loot ships and dig up chests from sand!

Fix the 1.9 combat update. I am definitely not saying put it back to 1.8 or below and I love the idea but I think it needs to be tweaked a bit and hopefully add more weapons

We already know 1.15 is going to be a combat update. The fact that the Smithing and Fletching tables (both relating to combat) are only getting functionality in 1.15. The custom snapshot by Jeb. The fact that in the Reddit post for said custom Snapshot Jeb wrote this:

The combat mechanics in Java Edition have been a controversial topic ever since the 1.9 update. We want the mechanics to be the same across all editions, but simply porting Java to Bedrock or vice versa is not taking us forward. We want to find a system that is flexible and works well across all input devices.

Main issues in Java Edition,

  • Too slow for PvP - not exciting enough

  • Damage per second is too low to beat regenerating items

  • Too hard to understand for new players

Main issues in Bedrock,

  • Tedious on controller (Legacy editions fixed this)

  • Weapons are very similar

  • Armor is not balanced

This "manually installed Java snapshot" is the first experiment of the new direction of combat mechanics. It's based upon the current Java Edition system, but with the following major changes:

  • Overall much faster attacks

  • Attacks only happen when fully charged, even if you spam click

  • You can hold to attack

  • Weapons have different reach (attack range)

  • When you stop attacking, the attack timer will continue charging to 200%

  • At 200% you can perform special attacks (crits, sweeping, knockback) and these attacks have longer reach

  • Sweeping only occurs on swords with the Sweeping enchantment

  • Critical attacks (jump attacks) bypass shields

  • Shields have no warm-up delay

  • Shields also activate when crouching/sneaking

  • If you hit something, the target's "invulnerability timer" will be shorter if you have a quick weapon

What new weapon will we get for the COMBAT UPDATE 2.0? That, my friends, is the real mystery here. Did you miss the fact that the combat test is called "1_14-combat-212796" NOT "1_15-combat"? It seems like everyone is missing that the name itself says that it is still part of 1.14.

Did you miss the fact that 1.14 has already been released?!?! 1.6.1 was the ONLY 1.blank.blank release to ever be a major update, so it isn't likely that 1.14.4 is going to be the most major update that Minecraft has ever seen!! And did you even read the part about the smithing/fletching tables?!?!

My point exactly. Village & Pillage isn't simply going to be removed from all existance and the version number replaced by the Combat Update 2.0. No, the Combat Update 2.0 is going to be 1.15. I told you, there's more evidence than just the Combat Test.

Plus, the reason that it is called 1_14-combat-212796 is because it was made as a fork of 1.14 versions. It is still snapshot for 1.15, regardless of whether or not you think Village & Pillage never happened.

I wouldn't call a few combat tweaks enough for a major update, so it is entirely possible that it would be released in 1.14

Soooo, you're implying that Village & Pillage never happened and that we're still stuck with Update Aquatic. That or you're completely confused because this is Java, not Bedrock.

Also, it's more than "combat tweaks". This is a whole combat REVAMP.

Given the number and breath of changes to game mechanics in the last two updates, I'd rather hope 1.15 was the Silent Update; focused on:
► reverting bad ideas (volume spawning for hostiles, mobs that ignore the mob cap, chunk unloading changes, enlarged spawn, etc. )
► fixing longstanding bugs (ie https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-14826 has been known since April 2013, but remains unresolved )
► restoring performance to the levels seen a few years ago [Investigation by the technical community has shown the decline is due to poor coding practice, NOT content addition.]

There are some obvious technical problems with how these would interact (similar in some ways to the difficulties of allowing two dissimilar slabs in the same space), but the more damning issue is that MS/Mj has vertical slabs on it 'never ever ever, like ever" list.
Absent a major change in philosophy (probably requiring a change in management/personnel) this would seem to be a dead letter.

Hope something like "Perfomance Update". Minecraft Java Edition perfomance right now is... Sorry for the word, but mediocre, I think Java is at the limit. Chunk loading is going from bad to worst.

Or... Some kind of change to the combat mechanics that Jeb is trying right now.

Unfortunalty, (sorry if my grammer stinks) but i don't think there not going to add it because MCSM has been discountinued which also means telltale i'm pretty sure with its other games are also discountinued.
