My poor little 4gb, R2 graphics, Windows 10 computer has been abused for 4 years of Minecraft with many factory resets.

Windows, Linux and Mac OS would've made more sense for the pie chart....
I play Minecraft Java on Mac OS X.

I started playing Java on a Windows 7 and some years later I got a new computer with Windows 10 so I downloaded Java Edition again

Windows 10 - I specifically got a new Windows 10 gaming laptop so that I could do the bedrock edition crossplay to play with my family on our Xbox One Realm. :) And the side benefit is now I also have a nice computer for gaming in general XD

Linux, because windows 10 slow, and for those who are afraid of linux, get ubuntu or mint, installing programs isnt that scary, it just makes you look sick as frick, you just phrase it correctly, hope its there, input y and wait and your done, plus on ubuntu theres an appstore, and if you miss your windows 10 apps that isnt on linux, try play on linux, it doesnt always work but when it works, it works, its how I play among us.

I'm fine with using the terminal to install programs

Do you reference java or bedrock?
1
Java, there is no bedrock for linux, unless you get an android emulator to work or this weird project I heard of, and there are vms but if you use a vm to run programs, just use the actual os on the metal anyway.

Windows 10, although I'd like to try Linux soon. I'm kinda tired of Windows updating behind my back

May I interest you in play on linux.

Never heard of it.

Its a cool program play on linux, its a simple interface for another program called wine, which allows you to run (some) windows programs on linux without a vm!

Well, I'm a power user of Windows 10, and so far I have yet to see anything about Linux I wouldn't like.

You won't be able to play many modern games, Minecraft being an exception, so be careful. I would run a VM to see which games you have that would work on Linux. Some Linux work ok with games but some don't, so be careful which branch you get. From my knowledge, Ubuntu doesn't work so well with games. Idk about other versions.

I do plan to run Linux (Ubuntu) in a VM just to try it out, but I think I'll wait until 21.04 LTS comes out

The only games I play are Minecraft, terraria (which has Linux support), and Among Us (Which can be played on Linux using Steam Proton). I main on Bedrock, but I know how I can get that on Linux.
