do you need optifine for slidurs?

I've tried a lot of shaders, and for free shaders, Sildurs is definitely the best in terms of just looking good. SEUS is way too harshly realistic imo, everything looks too bright or too dark most of the time. Sildurs is colorful and looks very good. Continuum is also worth a try, it's sort of a mix between Sildurs and SEUS

For shaders that cost money, the latest versions of SEUS is probably the best but only because of the ray tracing capabilities.

If you want realistic graphics you can use SEUS PTGI E9 (which costs 10$) or SEUS Renewed v1.0.0. If you want balance between performance and realistic graphics, you can try Slidur's, KUDA, BSL...

but there are also a lot of other shaders that do cool things with the shaders such as KUDA, it adds heat haze in the nether when you look at lava.

unfortunately seus ptgi e8 is 10$ a month but you can still download the normal shader pack

I like Sildur's shaders the most.
There's nothing I don't like about them, every other shader has something I don't like xD

I personally use Sildurs, although I haven’t really looked into any other than Trillitons.
