My favorite is 1.16 in Minecraft Bedrock. It was when the nether was updated. I like minecraft in general but that is my favorite version.

Favorite currently would be 1.17, becuase personally, I dont really like the new world generation. As cool as it looks, it makes it hard to find flat areas for building, plus biomes are larger and more spread out (which at least used to be an option, now large biomes seems to be the default), and also jungles (which are supposed to feel rare) are far more common.
I also like 1.12 as it was the last version that truly felt like "old minecraft". When 1.13 first came out, I actually didn't update clear until 1.15 becuase it felt too much like a mod to me, and even then, only because I wanted to play with my friends and realms requires you to be on the "latest version" for some reason.
A few noteworthy contenders would be Beta 1.7 as it was the last update that felt like classic minecraft, and 1.19 as it is the final update of modern minecraft. To clarify, as cool as 1.20 is, I, and hopefully many others, will not be updating to anything past 1.19 ever again due to the addition of chat reporting, and unfortunately, any future update will likely still include that "feature"(unless they were to remove it, but it is pretty clear they will not).

I agree with this, and honestly, I think 1.12 is my favorite still. Maybe 1.13 snapshots, idk, it's hard to tell.

I liked the 1.13 update. It made the ocean actually interesting, so it wasn't just a big open expanse.

Well, 1.19.4 or 1.19.2, Those and others are all the same update. Snapshots don't count. This just means the update itself, which is your favorite?

This. They're not particularly memorable updates on their own, but they've got the largest mod selections out of any version! Particularly 1.12.2 is the most memorable at the moment for me due to the short break in updates we had.
Obviously this doesn't make any of the newer versions bad in my opinion, they've just got a different and smaller (not to mention, fragmented) mod selection that caters more toward improved vanilla.

There is also pre-1.11 versions, like 1.10, 1.9, 1.9, 1.7.10, etc. But I think they meant pre-1.0 release versions, the old betas.

actually no it isn't - they mean beta 1.7, the OLD beta.

Beta is included in each version. A version includes a beta, a release, and a bunch of snapshots.

I don't think you understand. Minecraft has a version history that goes like this: Pre-Classic, Classic, Indev/Infdev, Alpha 1.0 - 1.2, Beta 1.0 - 1.8, Release 1.0 - 1.20 (current)

Yes we all know that. But in this poll, these versions include all those in them. 1.17 includes all of those from its update. As well as all the other versions.
