1.14 <3
It's glitchy, it's not very well polished, but god dayum! Those new textures, new blocks and everything really breathed life into the game again :D

I think the old textures didn't go very well with all the new stuff being added (Horses, llama's etc.) It felt like you were playing a modded version of Minecraft with this weird gab between the old and new textures.
Changing all the textures not only fixed the issue of Minecraft Vanilla feeling like a modded version, but was also a nice change-up as the old textures were a bit more "In Yo Face!" than the new ones. And I really liked that :D

1.9. I know it's controversial, but you have to admit Minecraft would be a completely different game without elytras.
Also bees are cool too. I really liked most of these updates except half of 1.14, because I am still refusing to use the new textures.

1.13. The ocean/sea had been empty for waaaaaay too long. 1.13 really made Minecraft alot better in my opinion.

1.14 but i want my 1.12 mods :(

I hardly ever use the latest version because if I am doing pvp then I use older versions because they load quicker and if I do survival then I use mods.

It's a mix between 1.13 and 1.14 for me. 1.13 was DESPERATELY needed - the oceans are so bare in previous versions. 1.14 was a breath of life to villages too, but I think the oceans/water had a bigger impact on me personally.

I'm really sad about how much minecraft is changing..when I'm in 1.14/1.15 it just doesn't give me that minecraft feeling anymore..I might not be able to join servers at some point but I'm staying in 1.13 or 1.12

1.12.2 because all the servers I play on are indefinitely stuck on that version

What I play is stuck until today at 1.8 :(

1.8
it changed world generation, adding new biomes, lots of blocks and features, bigger oceans with monuments, had the most capable boats, still with view direction steering and controllable by mobs, something that is impossible since, even with command block spawning
1.9 was an awful version, that destroyed features in attempts of improving them
1.13 was the version that finally added enough worthwhile stuff to overcome that and can be argued to have made it a better overall game, and it has been mostly positive development since
