I saw both Minecraft trailers, here's my thoughts (note, I may be a little harsh to the teaser). The teaser was terrible. For the 150 million dollar budget for the movie, it was not really spent that wisely. Most of the money was spent on casting Jack Black and Jason Mamoa, and you can tell that. If you watch the teaser and zoom in closely on the actors, you see signs of either cheap editing or bad lighting. Speaking of bad lighting, the part where we first see Jack Black's character (Steve) , the lighting looks...off to say the least. Also, what's with the designs of the animals and entities. Sure, they don't have to be the most accurate. But most of the people who are seeing this movie (including me), have played Minecraft for years. So they will be ticked that the animals and entities look so crappy. Also this movie is based off of Minecraft Legends. But let's be real, who the hell played Minecraft Legends?! So the storyline for at least 90% of us, will be uninteresting. Now time for the second trailer. And tbh, it's not terrible but could use an upgrade. Now, I won't say that much about the second trailer. Because all I could remember was: "I..am Steve, as a child I yearned for the mine". But from what I do remember, every joke went like this: "Wow! 'The Minecraft world sure is weird!'".

So based off of the writing, story and looks we gotten from the teaser and trailer, here's my rating: First trailer (Teaser) = 2/10, Second trailer (official trailer) = 6/10.
Which means the average score is a measly 4/10. Even though I've said some pretty negative things, the movie has a small chance of being good. And I'm curious to hear your opinion on the movie trailer/teaser us fans have received.
