I think Minecraft's gone too far. Minecraft has more abilities, items, and blocks than it needs.
It used to be a fun survival game. Now it's a Magic, Potions, and Sandbox game.
I just made this thread to see who agrees with me. Those who agree with me, What was your Favorite Game Version?
Mine, Personally, was Beta 1.7.3. The piston update should have ended the Minecraft update. Endermen, The End, Hunger, Finishing the Game, They've all gone too far. The Endermen seemed cool when they chased you by just looking at them, but now you have to get really close and look directly into their eyes. Plus, there are more bugs than ever.
So what's your favorite game mode?

Mine is Snapshot 12w34b I dont care about the updates. Updates are what makes games worth playing. They are things that you can be excited for. Sure hunger gets annoying, but i love the updates. I like the added ocelots and kittys , i like the flowerpots, the end, endermen are less annoying, emeralds, villagers. Love 'em all. And if you dont like the updates. Down grade minecraft and quit throwing a fit. If you cant handle the update awesomeness, step away from minecraft, PMC, and go play your little baby games. like a boss

I agree with you. I love the changes that Jeb and Dinnerbone have made! but Im not a big fan of the carrots and the patatos. everything else is sweet! cant wait to see whats next!

My Personal Favorite was Beta 1.6.6. I loved it how it was no fancy redstone crap with piston shit, and hunger was not there. Also, I Liked how you could just eat raw food and be fulfilled instantly, or with any food. you didn't have to wait 10 mins. for you health to recharge, whatever. by the time you health was up all the way, all the monsters had died, and it was day. I also loved that fences and trapdoors just came out, so it added a new aspect of the game, in a decorative and defensive style. Even though I didn't like the piston update, I love to use them nowadays, and I am pretty awesome with redstone, to say so myself. I miss those days of 1.6.6

If you never got to do that, then you never played Alpha.Also, how do you know its fixed when thrown on the ground?If it did do that, it was most-likely a bug.

Lets be honest. I think the only thing I don't like is the command block and beacon block. Four things I have been wanting for a while: carrots, potatoes, Item frames, and Zombie Villagers. All coming in 1.3.2.

Why hate the beacon block?Atleast you could get effects from it when putting an emerald/iron ingot/diamond/gold ingot in it.
And why don't you like the command block?Its supposed to be used in Adventure Maps .___.

Whats so bad about the beacon and command blocks? The beacon effects only work within a short range, and you can only get the command blocks in creative.

Minecraft is a great game I started playing on the halloween update and I always enjoy new stufff that they add

Seriously whats up with all this hating at the new versions with more things, choices and opportunities? If you like simple games why play Minecraft?

Also, you say more bugs then ever, why complain about that?Ofcourse a game is going to have bugs when its not finished.Every game has bugs before its finished.

Myne was Defo was 1.7.3 before all of the fancy stuff I would have said 1.6 apart from the fact that it didnt have pistons

Minecraft was always a Sandbox game.Also, if you don't like the new stuff, don't use it then, very simple.
I like all the updates.
