Whats a good program to make skins with?

I usually use miners need cool shoes to make skins but im pretty sure there are better ways:P

I use MCSkinedit for the whole thing. Though i wouldn't reccommend it since it takes alot of time and you need to prepare all the colors in advance. I would reccommend what SupahBoss says, draw the skin in MCSkinedit then use GIMP to shade it.

MCSkin3D is Most Likely the best one out there, its Also the Official PMC Skin Editor i think...

Not really official, but since Paril (the guy who made it) is a mod here, it is definitely one of the more heavily promoted ones here due to... well, it being awesome.

I use MCSkin3D, which I found to be easier to download and use than MCSkinEdit. Paint or GIMP is generally considered the best program to use, but they take more know-how.

I use an old version of MCSkinEdit. I'm used to using the shift key to to copy colors and other quick access tricks that the program has. I still haven't tried MCSkin3d yet though. The file messed up when I downloaded it and I've been too lazeeeehhh to redownload. I always hear really good things about it though.
