Which version would you choose?
If you could choose any stage of development minecraft has gone through to play, which one would it be?

Beta times, since I've started playing back then. Even to this day I still play beta, my favourite version is 1.6.6.

pre-classic obviously i love being able to build with 6 different blocks and spam my map with the human mob
seriously though official release because of creative mode among other things, my favourite version personally is 1.12

I always enjoy playing with the new things Mojang add when they release updates. And as a survival games player, survival mode is where it's at for me. So anything past official release here!
Disclaimer: I still thoroughly enjoy any and all versions!

Official Release, 1.7.10 for me. Probably the best version in my opinion lol

Basically all of them are available, but by the whim of what I'm thinking right now, I reckon a trip back to pre-classic would be fun. I started in classic proper, but never quite had the reach to get the earliest versions.
Survival test up to official release were going for the survival shenanigans, and I never really liked it, finding minecraft to be a creative game at its roots (classic rooted the idea in for me). I picked back up on release. I occasionally trip into those early survival versions, but they are, as the names imply, extremely superficial paired with now, and I've always found minecraft survival to be lacking anyways.

I agree. Although survival mode can be fun, I generally prefer creative mode.
