Okay, so my Minecraft launcher isn't working. I'll open it, it runs in the toolbar, no errors show or anything, but when I click it it does not open. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it, repaired it, rebooted my pc. I'm running windows 7. The only two files in .minecraft folder are launcher_log and launcher_profiles:json and thats it.

You can try running without your firewall on, that tends to get in the way of getting files sometimes.

if that is all that is in .minecraft it is not installed properly, uninstall it and reinstall it

He did uninstall and reinstall it. (Hope you dont take this the wrong way)

the .minecraft folder has loads of files in, if all that is inside is

there is obviously a game missing, it has not been installed correctly
