Hello,

I am creating my own server and have ran into a few problems. First thing is the < > before and after a name.

Example: https://gyazo.com/b6bc72711cd7be6c021a13436a75cfb5

I would like to remove the < before the name and > afer the name, but don't really know how.

Another thing I would like to fix is the ~ before a name.

Example: https://gyazo.com/b6bc72711cd7be6c021a13436a75cfb5

The last thing I want to know how to do is when a new playe joins the server, I want them to automatically be set in the "[Member]" rank.

If you know how to resolve/fix any of the problems above, commenting below would be very great.

Thanks,
-TexasTiger

For the < >, you need to use EssentialsChat (or whatever chat format plugin you're using) and just remove them from there.
Ex/
format: '&4{DISPLAYNAME}&1» &0{MESSAGE}'
Would appear as
Adyxia» This is my message!

For the ~, just go into your Essentials config, go to "nickname-prefix", and remove the ~ (or change it to something else).

For the Rank, go into your permissions files and change it to the default rank.
In PEx, I think you can also use the command
/pex group Member set default
But I'm not 100% sure if that's the correct command.

Regarding the ~, I assume it only happens on players with nicknames. To fix that, go into your essentials configs and one of the first lines has to do with Nickname-Prefixes. Just put nothing inside the two '' where the ~ is by default.

Regarding the [Member] rank, just set that rank as Default in your permissions files.
