Forge 1.7.2 Not working

hey everyone i am on a mac and i have forge 1.7.2 profile installed and everything but when i launch mine craft, the game itself (idk a name looks like a crafting table) just quits right away and sends me back to the launcher
if anyone knows how to fix this that would be awesome thanks

Well this is quite simple. Forge 1.7.2 Should only be support just FOR minecraft 1.7.2. Are you running minecraft in 1.7.9? You can try force updating and put forge back on .minecraft simply
Start > %Appdata% > .Minecraft (Folder)
