So I needed to port forward on my new Netgear router. Any help?
So I clicked "New Service" under the Port Forwarding tab. It brought up a few fields:
Service Name:
Protocol: UDP or TCP or BOTH
Start Point:
End Point:
LAN Port:
What is LAN port and how to find it?
Thanks.

Are you configuring the router from a computer connected via ethernet or Wi-Fi?

Check out portforward.com
You can look up your router for very specific directions on how to setup port forwarding on your router.
The next thing I would try is this:
Service Name: MCServer
Protocol: BOTH
Start Point: 25565
End Point: 25565
LAN Port: x
Just put the last digit of your internal ip address in there. It may be already figuring what your internal IP scheme is and is just looking for the last entry of it. So if the internal ip of your server is 192.168.1.5 then just put 5 in there.

I had someone else on a different router/internet access/computer test it. And it didn't work. However, I will try again. Okay?

I'm very certain that what I previously posted is correct.
What do you mean by "it doesn't work"?

It can only be numeric numbers. Not a "." (Period) so it's not that...

The lan port is going to be you internal IP address of your server. It will most likely by 192.168.1.x

Okay, I'll try that first.

Same as the previous two.
