Minecraft is beyond laggy (Mac)

I'm trying to play but when I load into servers, I cant move, right click anything. I just lag back to the spawn. I am using WiFi but my mac is right next to my router so i have the best connection.

Not for me, I use my mac laptop for gaming and it works just fine. It even works on 2b2t.

Did you try using a different version of MC? 1.8 may be fast performance-wise, but I doubt you can join every server with it. You may also need to install the latest version of Java. Finally, if none of these work, run a speedtest and see if your Minecraft is laggy or your entire connection. If you do poorly on that test, you might need to buy a WiFi adapter to better your connection. At worst, your internet’s really bad in general and you’ll have to upgrade / complain to your provider. It's just because it's a mac. It's a laptop not really meant for gaming. I used to play mc on a Mac before and it was the laggiest ever, but then got a real pc and now it's great
