I tried to launch MC today but it couldn't and says "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found" are you having this problem too and how do i fix it?

Try download this file and put in C:\Program Files\Java\jre<version>\bin, for some reason you have missing this file.
Alternatively you can just reinstall java java.com/en/download/

I would reverse it and re-download java first instead. Downloading files like that of the internet tends to be a bit sketchy, loads of nasty stuff on there!

I reinstalled Java and it has the MSVCP.140.dll file but MC still isn't launching

Any messages, crash-logs, etc?

it says the same message as before even though the file is in the reinstalled java
