Raise Build Limit +256 without ANY mods/bukkit?

Pretty simple question, is it really possible to raise the build limit above the normal 256 on a COMPLETELY vanilla server with NO added files?

Could you post a screenshot? Of the server properties, as well as proof of increased build height?

On a server go into your server file where you edit server config and you should see this max-build-height=256 change that one
