Resource packs not showing up in-game?
I have a resource pack in the resource pack folder, and it isn't showing up in the resource packs section in game.
I don't know what to do, I know its in the right place and I don't know why it isn't showing up.

I have this exact problem and its even worse because I have windows 8 and its even more complicated. If I go to my Minecraft options, then resource packs and click open resource pack folder, it opens it and the pack is there, but its not showing up in my Minecraft resource pack thing, so I can not select it. And in the resource pack folder, I tried double clicking it, but in windows 8 it says How do you want to open this file, and idk what to click to get it to work. Here's the options it says:
Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, movie maker, notepad, paint, photo gallery, windows photo viewer, and wordpad.
PLEASE HELP PLEASE

I was having trouble with this recently and found this forum and I came up with why it did not work all you have to do is mix the resource pack with a actual minecraft resourcepack of the same type since what you downloaded is a patch for it it dosen't work so you have to mix the files together and put it in your resourcepacks folder!

It didnt work

One thing. Where do you get the assets folder and the other things?

Same with me - it's unzipped ( I used EnderTexture and Unstitcher ) and it is also in the resource pack folder, yet it does not show up in the minecraft folder ; n ;

Make sure its 1.6!

Make sure the file is extracted and check inside the folder if there's just one folder in it. If there's just one, take that one out. (This may be confusing to you, lol.)

Check to make sure you put the resource pack in the resourcepacks folder and not the texturepacks folder.

I See Many Have Trouble I Can Explain, Reason Being is It's Ether Out-Dated Or You May Have Downloaded Something Incorrectly. If It's Out Dated You Can Search On You "Minecraft 1.6.2 Resourcepack Converter" Or Something like That, I Don't Want To Advertise But I Use "EnderTextures It's Easy To Use and if You Can't Find Anything on YouTube Then I Recommend "Endertextures" Hope I Helped

I don't know, but it worked when the my "resource packs" were a folder, not as a .zip file. I'm on a Mac and I just double-clicked to expand it into a folder.
Make sure the texture pack supports your current version.

Is it in a .zip file? If so, make sure it is like this:
-Resourcepackname.zip
>assets (folder)
}minecraft (folder)
~folders(font,lang,textures, etc...)
The same thing for folders, but instead of a .zip, it's a folder.
-Resourcepackname (folder)
>assets (folder)
}minecraft (folder)
~folders(font,lang,textures, etc...)
