Server resource pack loads but doesn't show new textures

I have made my own resource pack and it works in single player. Then I put the compressed zip file into my Dropbox folder to get the link for the pack. I then sha1 hash it online and put both sha1 and link into my server properties file. I save it and start my server. I remove all my texture packs in my Minecraft resourcepack folder on my computer and join the server with texture packs set to enabled. When I join it seems as if the texture pack loads, but when it finishes all the textures are the default ones.
Can anyone suggest solutions to this problem?

I have a feeling it's to do with the mcmeta. If someone could just fix up the texture pack and send it to me that would be great. Just PM me if you would like to help out. I'll send you the pack.

I've tried this website: minepack.net or something like that. It says missing mcmeta file even though I have the mcmeta file in the pack folder. Like I said it works in single player.

I think you need a way to link it to the unzipped file. I don't know if this will work but you can upload the zipped file onto the server files and then using a FTP to open it and get the link, then try using that. Never done any texture pack stuff for servers yet.

Is the resource pack inside another folder? like theres there Zip, then inside that theres the resource pack?

Try mediafire, and after uploading copy link address of the download button.
For some reason pack might not load for client hosting a server but for others yes.

Definitely will try MediaFire, but why won't the pack load for host? It has in the past with a different texture pack.

It's not a rule, but I tested it on my private server with my friend and pack was loading only for him - for me server was downloading html file...

are you using the direct download link? and does it show up in the resource pack folder?
