However, it is possible to recreate this in vanilla as well, but it will take some command block usage. If you're interested let me know and I'll get cranking (it's a little complex, it boils down to placing command blocks in your world spawn which detects a hit on an entity (this is done using the scoreboard) and when detected it'll play a sound).

I'm enjoying a Saturday evening, so I'm a little slow right now but I'm sure I can cook something up later on if you'd like :)

(edit): this will probably only work in singleplayer, not when multiple people are playing.
