PlanetMinecraft out of date?
I was trying to figure out why my pig texture wouldn't work despite hours of bugtesting, and while I was doing this, I found out that PlanetMinecraft hasn't updated to 1.21.5's updated pigs. It's possible that this also applies to cows and chickens, but I haven't checked.
When you download a pig texture pack, it has the "pig" folder with the "pig" file name, instead of what it should be, which is "temperate_pig" or "cold_pig" or "warm_pig". I was surprised since this update has been out for a month, but I'm not complaining at all because you guys have lives outside of a website. I was just wondering if I'm crazy or if anyone else has noticed.
Additionally, I'm gonna copy/paste the problem I'm having and pray someone will help.
I've been bugtesting for like 3 hours and give up, I need help pls. I
have this fun little texture pack I make for me and my friends, and the
pig is supposed to be me, and she's named Rosie Pig.
With the new update, I fixed the chickens and pigs, renamed them to
their cold/temperate/warm counterparts instead. The chickens work fine
and I'm loving it. But the pigs, which are the exact same, look very
strange. Here's what they look like VS how they're supposed to look:

1.21.5 vs other versions
So I tried doing a bunch of things. The problem persists when I
disable all other resource packs, and I triple checked that the file
names were correct. Here's a comparison of the in-game files VS what I
wrote.

I tried doing a lot of bugtesting with PlanetMinecraft, but I'm
pretty sure that it's out of date. When I tried downloading a stranger's
pig texture from yesterday, it didn't show up in 1.21.5 but worked in
the previous version. I looked in the files, and the file still says
"pig" instead of "warm_pig" or any of the others.
And again, the same thing worked 100% fine with the chickens. Here's a pic of them.

Here's my resource pack
I also tried searching online first. I could only find one person with this issue, and I couldn't apply it to my problem.
Since the skin itself is messed up but everything else in my pack
isn't, is the issue that the model itself changed and therefore the ART
is out of date? That would explain why PlanetMinecraft doesn't show me
any problems when I put the art into the Skin Editor. If that's the
case, what website should i use instead to make skins? I love PM because
it lets you paint directly onto the model rather than the 2D file.
Any advice is much appreciated and if I missed any information that I need to include, pls let me know!
EDIT: The 1.21.5 pig is a few pixels larger than the current pig design and so I have to wait until PlanetMinecraft updates to fix this bug. Here's a gif comparing the difference.
SECOND EDIT: I was wrong, AND I FIXED IT!!!!!!!! So the 1.21.5 art is in a different position (on the top) than the previous version (in the middle). Go into an image editing software, take the 1.21.4 pig art, overlay your art on top of it, and then just adjust where it lay. Fixed it for me. I hope this helps someone.

Good to know
the wiki https://minecraft.wiki/w/Pig also does not appear to have the new info
This sounds like the model may be changing as well…
…which is the sort of thing that makes me avoid working/playing the 'current' versions — better to stick with a stable release.
I expect the pmc editor will eventually update to support the new system as it does the new bat & vex; but probably not until MS/Mj stabilizes the parameters

my heart goes out to all the poor resource pack creators who have to fix all of this :'(
