Imagine a house you have in minecraft, in that house you have a piston garage door, every time you want to open the garage door you have to either use a lever or pressure plate. Why not a "Remote control" that would open the garage door by holding "an item"and pointing towards a "receiver block"and left clicking it would make the door open.

So basically what needs to be there:
1) A receiver (maybe note block) ( can be custom crafted like adding note block and gunpowder in the work bench)
2) A remote (maybe trip wire hook) (Automatically given to the player who has crafted a receiver)
3) Receiver could have a random generated id linked to the remote.

The receiver will act like a redstone torch, when activated it will act as if the torch is on and when offed it will act as if the torch is off.

This will really change everything with redstone.
