Splitscreen with one account?

MaTheLuanNotYThello! im new here so idk how any of this works but I recently downloaded the joypad mod so me and my brother can play splitscreen on a LAN server. however I only own one account. im currently too broke to buy him one and it wont let me join the LAN server on his Minecraft screen because we are using the same account. is there anyway to get around this? I also have ATLauncher and idk if theres a way to change the name on that account (the same one) or what not.
to make a long story short i'm open to anyway to fix this (other than buying a new game)

tlauncher could allow you two to play together offline.

You can always buy a cheap account that has been used before.

I'm afraid nothing short of piracy will allow you both to use the same account at the same time.
