You have to get the files from your minecraft.jar open it with winrar or 7zip

wtff? Spriting is extremely easy.
Assuming you're using modloader, open up any image editor, make a new image, and make its size 16x16.
Now make your sprite!

Minecraft doesn't accept anything lower than 16x16....
