Mods wont load in minecraft!

OK so I tried to install Forge, it worked. I put the .zip of my mod in the mods folder, run minecraft, aaaand there is no mod. How does that happen?
I have a mod but it doesn't show up in minecraft!

i added forge and a mod, but mod wont work, also where is minecraft.jar folder????

well it is in the Misc creative tab

btw Is it bad if i edit EntityList for making a spawn egg?
if you edit entity list it would be useful to make a creative tab for it

when I first got the 1.5.2 update it didn't come with a mods folder but it turns out u can make ur own

I Recompiled it without errors though!
How does it work?

if you edit a "base class" then you have to install the mod into the minecraft.jar.....
otherwise it should work in the mods folder....

Its only the spawn egg I need to fix really! I just don't know where in the code that messed up!
I can run it without Forge or modloader but then the ID mismatches occur

If you want a load a mod with Forge, you'll have to make the mod the Forge way.

oh well I used MCP there was no tutorial for forge there

It might be just that you programed it wrong.

What Mod Was It? Some Mods Need to be put into the minecraft.jar file or need other programs/mods to work with it.
