Poll for mod ideas - Plz read
Hello, thank you for spending some time to have a look at this topic,
I'm part of a modding team and we would like some minecraft players to complete a poll to see what is best for our mod.
Our mod is an energy-based mod that adds energy generation, storage, and usage devices, how should the wiring work:
A) every side of every block that uses power is an input/output, this would be the least CPU intensive
B) every side of every block is an input until right-clicked with whatever 'wrench' like item we decide to implement, that side might then get a texture change. This would be slightly more CPU intensive than A and some complex models would not be able to output on certain sides
C) you use wires to take power from generation to storage and cables to take it from storage to usage. this would be more CPU intensive than B and you can't directly wire generation to usage; you must have a storage device (or some kind of transformer block to convert from wire to cable)
D) set sides are input or output, and you have rotate the block to fit your needs, this would be more CPU intensive than A but less than B
We would like as many players as possible to reply to the topic with what one they would prefer (A,B,C or D) and if you wish a reason as to why you chose that one,
thank in advance,
