So latley, I been wanting to make a new mob, kinda like a new wolf, I know how to modle but not code, if anyone knows a youtube video, how to code for minecraft, 1.7.2 , or can anyone that can teach. If so tell me please... thanks

I think along with the books swimmer suggested, you should also check out Khan Academy in the Computer Science section, they give really nice tutorials there. I used it.

Looks like it's time to hit the books. I started out with Beginning Programming with Java For Dummies 3rd Edition then moved on to Java All-in-One For Dummies 3rd Edition. It's the most comprehensive and efficient way and is so much better than mere YouTube videos, where you stare at code being spat out to you and regurgitate it into your mod. Doesn't really work in the long run. Just try it, trust me.
