the lancia delta is a quite well known rally car, and completely boxy, if you make a model for minecraft you"ll just need to tilt the pillars for front and rear windows

same for the audi quattro

here both in one video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xq_1jyehb8o

also iconic are the lancia stratos and the alpine a110, but those are more rounded

Rally cars can actually be dirt cheap. If you want to be a professional racer obviously they'll cost a ton but my friend got his Golf for $125 off of Craigslist and the GTI for $500. You just need something that you aren't afraid to break. The roll cage can then be the most expensive part, but the actual car you can get for <$1000 if you just want to rally recreationally.

Anyway, is this a 1:1 build or are you trying to make a larger than life replica? An older boxier car might be good to start with, look up Mk II Golf rally cars if you want a reference.

Ahh I see. Seems odd, but sadly im not that familiar with American rally rules. All clubs in Europe and one im with is FIA regulated.

Rally America has different rules. Each class has different rules, but nearly all classes allow for bodywork and exhaust modifications, as well as aerodynamic components. Since FIA runs WRC though it might make more sense to stick by their rules unless you're looking at racing in Rally America events,

You want to create a car model in mc or in irl? As is later then your budget plays major role.

Do you want to build an actual rally car? Most of the ones I've seen at Rally America events are Imprezas or other economy hatchbacks like the Ford Focus and VW Golf, although once I saw a Porsche 944. Per regulation the cars have a full interior roll cage and fog lights, as well as off-road tires. Usually people have beefed up bumpers and/or performance exhaust as well. On a more personal note, my friend and I are building a rally car out of a 1985 VW Golf 4-door with a VR6 out of a 2000 GTI. It's not too fancy right now, just a baby blue hatchback with white doors.

Actually the bumpers and exhaust have to be stock and cant be modified. Having them can get you disqualified on the spot. The only possible modifications allowed by FIA include; engine displacement, 4wheel drive, forced induction sequential gearbox, up to 1230kg weight reduction and chassis.

Any other mod = on spot disqualification from event.
