So I wanted to make some underwater ruins in a east-asian style, but due to water physics I can't use slabs, stairs or fences. So I was wondering if I should go with the style and just use blocks, or just go with a style that will look better? If you have any help please comment down below. Thank you!

If you want it to be Underwater.

Instead of actually using water to make it, instead just make some fake water with Stained_glass:blue

This method has been used by alot of bigger builders

Could you build the city in a valley or a low region on a map, then manually flood it?

I haven't got much play time in, but this is exactly how I would go about creating an area. Water movement can be difficult at times anyway, so by creating it on land then submerging it you can save a LOT of frustration and time!

Perhaps use larger scale with just blocks. It could work.
