I'm currently working on a new project, and I'm trying to create a circular rift or portal in the shape of a sideways whirlpool or vortex. How would I go about doing that accurately? Does anyone know how they can help me?

I also have been using MCEdit for this, I was on my private server using WorldEdit to create the needed circles horizontally, and then add them in. Perhaps I can do that same thing with the vortexes.

I can try. Im very close to completing my current project, and hopefully it will be up either tomorrow or monday, but if I can make this vortex correctly either tonight or tomorrow, then the whole process will be easier.

sideways circle? you have 2 options.
Either you build a few concentric circles by hand in a vertical position, or you use mangyfox's guide to //deform a vortex you made horizontally with worldedit.
