You are on the right track in terms of atmosphere and asthetics. However, I think that you should try adding in some more detail (mainly on the roofs (possibly add various wood types and break things up a bit with half slabs or add in dormers) and try working with custom trees (because why not?).

I think it looks good to start. I would expand it myself. I'm a sucker for sprawling builds personally.

Maybe add a mine or a tunnel.... cave houses? Just some ideas, they may not be your style.
