I am fairly new to scoreboards in Mine Craft and have hit a wall. I am trying to create a scoreboard to track the numbers of zombies killed by the player.
This is what I put in the command block:
"scoreboard objectives add Test stat.killEntity.Zombie"
But nothing happens. I don't see a message saying that the new objective was added successfully. And killing a zombie doesn't change anything.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

I tried typing "/scoreboard objectives add Test stat.killEntity.Zombie" into the chat and I got a message "Usage: Invalid objective criteria type. Valid types are: playerKillCount, TotalKillCount, dummy, heath and deathCount."
Which made me remember that I was playing in 1.6.2 Duh, problem solved.

Simply adding an objective with a command block will show you nothing. Try typing the command into the chat, and it will then give you a message. If it tells you that the objective already exists, then the command block worked.
If you want the score to display somewhere, then use the command
/scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar Test
