Hi guys, so I'm working on a resource pack and I'm very close to uploading. Most of the resource packs I've downloaded work as a zip file and do not need to be extracted. Mine is a folder right now and when I make it into a zip file it does not show up on the resource pack list in game. Also either way the picture I have set as "pack" (png file) is not showing up. The picture is just white. Anyone know how to fix this? The resource pack will only work as a folder.

the thumb.db file is a (usualy hidden) windows file used for folder thumbnails
just delete it

how do you even make a resource pack?

With.. MAGIC!
Lol, jk.
Look up some tutorials on it, if you'd like. I'd actually recommend making a texture pack that works for 1.5 or 1.4, then converting it over to 1.6, as that is way easier!

Whats the thumb.db file in yours?

I am not completely sure what you are talking about. Download a texture pack (like mine jk) and make sure yours is the same way. I make sure my texture pack is in a compressed folder before uploading it here.

Oh wait, that actually did work. Thanks lol but my picture is still not working.

dont .zip the folder
.zip the content of that folder
.zip the content of that folder

So I'm supposed to zip the assets and the pack file and picture? How does that work?

I don't know exactly how to do it, but there's a text file you have to make, then save it as some sort of extension. That's all I know, sorry :L

Resource packs are pretty easy to make and fun to do. Especially when you get to change the sounds XD

Sorry I can't really help, all of these updates make the game more difficult for me to browse through. However, I am interested in making a resource pack
