Hello there,
I was offline for a while. How should I install the zip files in the new Minecraft?
Also, I did some modding in the past and my Texture packs had animated meshes, how could be those included in the new MC texture packs?

If you are on Windows, press Win+R, then type in %appdata%. You should find a folder entitled .minecraft. Go into the folder, where you'll find another folder called resourcepacks. Copy the .zip files into that folder.
Animated textures can be added to resource packs if you navigate to where the block textures are (that's [Resource Pack]/assets/minecraft/textures/blocks). If you have multiple frames (like a 16 by 64 texture in a 16x pack), then that texture needs to be accompanied by a MCMETA file called [block].png (in full, that would be [block].png.mcmeta) where you can specific things like the frame time and other parameters.
