I was installing a resource pack today and I was thinking about how hard I thought it was to get one but after I figured it out how easy it was. So I'm going to help a few beginners.

Step 1. This is pretty obvious but make sure you're using the version the resource pack is on.

Step 2. Only use resource packs or maps from trusted sites. (This one for example) and the Curse have verified resource packs. It's also a good idea to look at the comments about it before you get it. Also, infamous avoid youtubers. Also, if comments are disabled for a pack, map, or a mod, it's automatically a scam.

Step 3. When you're downloading a resource pack usually ads will pop up which often have harmful viruses. Click skip ad or the red x and move on. Never click on the ad.

Step 4. Open the pack. You do not have to have winzip btw.

Step 5. Add it to your minecraft folder. I'll update this with pictures.
