Cool idea! The textures should all be together in one place, and it would be cool if there was a Painterly-like customizer.

This is a really great idea and if someone doesnt make a website or something for it im currently starting to learn java i might see if i could make something like this once i learn enough of it

We should make a website for this, I don't know how or what kind, but it would be a lot easier than posting tons of textures here. Perhaps a blog maybe, that you update with every few textures you receive? We can send you textures by message and you can put them into the blog.

Oh my gosh, I totally forgot about this once school started up... I have very little time to do textures during the week anymore, but please, anybody who wants to contribute please do. I was thinking a website might be very good, but all I can do is weebly, which may or may not work very well... If we get enough textures I'll consider a site. I'll remember to keep posting my work here, guys

It wouldn't put the Texture pack section out of business because it is unlikely the best texture packs will donate textures to something like this.

This is such a great idea! But it would kinda put the texturepacks section out of business. Maybe someone could make a website like this?

What we need is a website where we can have the same sort of software dem lot use up in painterly. If you need a domain you can use mine for the time being and, once my site is done I will gladly give you a page.

That's a good idea, you should probably put all the posted textures into the OP. I'll contribute when I get some free time.

These are the grass textures I made to go along with the dirt. Please post all of your textures for each block in one reply (In other words, don't do what I did )

Also, if anyone could tell me how to get the image to show larger on the thumbnail for smaller textures (32x and below...), that would be great

Okay, to get things started, this is an experimental, 32x dirt texture I was working on for a magical themed texture pack, and I might still use. HERE ARE THE RULES:

2:As a creator, note that people will download your work free and use it personally.
3:By downloading images from this thread, you agree to only use this for personal use, profitable distribution of the work of others, including using it in your own texture pack, is NOT allowed.
4:Do not post the work of others on this thread.

If you are posting, please include:
type of texture (dirt, stone, grass, wood)
resolution (16x, 32x, 64x, etc.)
style (not necessary, but possibly useful )
