Villager skins for each Career?
Is it possible to have villagers textured by their specific career instead of just their profession?
I'm using Revival Texture Pack 1.8, which obviously makes use of random texturing for mobs.
I've been digging in the files and I've found that you can assign zombie textures to certain biomes like so:
Now I was trying to do something similar to villager skins like so:
But it doesn't work. also I've tried "profession.1=farmer career.2=fisherman" and any other combination of possibilities.
Any idea why or if this is even possible?

Nah, look up the NBT tags for Villagers. They're split into professions and each profession is split into careers.
Farmer: Farmer, Fisherman, Shepherd etc.
Smith: WeaponSmith, Armorer etc.
So I'm trying to identify the villagers and their career by assigning different textures to the respective NBT tags (careers)

Well, the fact that the Farmer Villager (green robes) texture isn't in the game anymore may be part of it, I dunno.
