We have updated our servers to 1.16.4 - however, you should be able to connect with any version. We do recommend 1.16.4 for the best playtime experience.
When you reach our hub, you will see there is a parkour map there - Feel free to play and be in the top 10 scores!

Just a quick note to everyone.....
Christmas has started on Explorer's Bay!!! There is a new warp called Christmas in /warp
Head on over there to check out EB's Christmas Village!
In this village you will find approximately 40 quests that ask you to do various things, along with an additional 50 more tasks/interactions/quests from the npc's.
Most of these quests will reward you with Special Emeralds. Save up these emeralds to purchase special limited edition prizes.
There are approximately 50 map art pieces for your builds and bases, along with armor, tools, and much more!
If you have any issues with the quests, please make a bug report ticket in discord.
If those prizes weren't enough, you need to make sure to visit Santa every day!
He is right by the warp - you can't miss him! Every day he will have a shulker box of gifts for you.
You don't want to miss a day since you would be sad to miss out on some important vouchers or spawners etc.
Once you miss a day, you CANNOT go back and collect rewards - Staff will not be able to give you items either
There is also a Christmas Elf near Santa where you can create mailboxes in your friends names - send notes and presents to your friends and they will be able to pick them up on Christmas Eve - how fun!!!
Closer to Christmas Explorer's Bay will have a little Christmas themed hunt for prizes for you all too! It's exciting times and OP month for Explorer's Bay! Make sure not to miss out!!

Looking for Active, Motivated Staff
Who are we?
Explorer's Bay is a survival server that provides an adventurous and fun Minecraft experience with a relaxed and enjoyable environment, friendly community, & dedicated staff.
Our community is small, friendly and welcoming. We are growing, and we are a fun & adventurous bunch. Explorer's Bay is a survival server with Grief Prevention, McMmo, Quests, Jobs, Ranks, and more.
One thing that is different about our server is we have our main world protected while having Towny. We have it this way to preserve our world and builds and it lets players grow and explore around their bases at their own pace. We have resetting worlds - the resource, nether and end. Players are able to collect as many resources as they want in these resetting worlds.
We are planning to add in Dungeons and Skyblock in the near future.
With our planning to expand and better our server, we are in need of more enthusiastic staff personnel; we are seeking to fill our staff team. We are just coming back from a small downtime that we took to do some re-vamping
We want our players to enjoy our server with kind, active and mature staff that act professionally, but also punish players accurately and accordingly when needed to do so. Most of all, we would hope that both our staff and players all have fun and are engaged in being part of our welcoming community.

Helper Rank
- Assist players with any questions they may have.
- Welcome and assist new players if needed to become more familiar with the server.
- Help to make sure the community is having an enjoyable experience.
- Try to contact higher staff if any issues or problems arise.
- Listen for feedback from the community and pass along to higher staff.
- Assist with promoting the server when possible - comment on social media, share posts etc.
- Moderating both in game and in discord to ensure a safe environment for players, free from annoyance and toxicity.
- Have abilities to punish players accordingly for rules that may be broken.
- Moderators are expected to be role models and help optimize the playing experience for players.
- Assist with moderating whereas they are on the lookout for rule breakers.
- Resolve issues and disputes among players.
- Listen for feedback from the community and pass along to higher staff.
- Try to contact higher staff if any issues or problems arise that you are not able to resolve.
- May plan and host events for the server and players.
- Help out on server projects whenever possible.
- Assist with promoting the server when possible - comment on social media, share posts etc.
- Learning opportunities for future staff positions.
- Have access to staff chat, ability to ask higher staff for guidance and exchange knowledge.
- Gain customer service skills by working with others and helping others.
- Get to be part of an amazing staff team with a dedicated active owner.
- Monthly staff kit only for all active staff members.
- Moderators and above are compensated with a top donor rank as a reward for their dedication, volunteer time and efforts.
- Be at least 15 yrs old.
- Have a clean record on our server - no infractions.
- Must be trustworthy and not abuse any privileges.
- Have knowledge to be able to take and share screenshots (record for evidence).
- Must be able to speak fluent English and be able to communicate well.
- Must be an active member in our discord server (have discord linked in game).
- Must be an active member within the server before applying for staff. We ask that you remain active while being staff.
- Interpersonal skills, be able to interact with players and other staff.
- Positive attitude, patience and good temper.
- Have a mature and patient mind set.
- Be able to work as part of a team with others, but also individually.
- Have a willingness to be active on the server and get to know the community.
- Microphone is encouraged but not necessary for staff meetings.

Please note: You will begin as either a helper or trial mod and will work your way through the various ranks. Each rank tier has a trial period to ensure a smooth transition. This is for a few reasons:
- So we can get to know you a bit and see if you are a good fit to the team before you are given all your abilities.
- Gives you an opportunity to demonstrate your skills and abilities.
- To give you an opportunity to learn more about our server so you will adjust better in your actual position.
- To give you a chance to get to know the community while you settle in.
