A game mode inspired by Atlus’ hit RPG Persona 5
Brought to Minecraft by Persona Interactive

_
This server is based off of Atlus’ hit RPG Persona 5. All ideas, rights, and credit goes toward Atlus. Persona Interactive is in no way affiliated with Atlus or its products, and this server is merely a fan-made masterpiece. We highly recommend you try out the Persona world yourself by visiting the official games website.

_

We welcome you to the beginning of this exciting adventure, and we hope you stay along the ride. Here is a list of what we know we will be announcing throughout these sooner updates;
- Further editing and improvement of forum posts

- Applications Opening

Persona Interactive will be working around the clock to develop this massive game mode using a plethora of custom plugins, a texture pack, astonishing architecture, and a complex story to keep the players on their toes. Players will first start out at a tutorial area, where they may learn brief explanations of the server’s basic features. Then, they will be sent through a cinematic introduction of the story, explaining where they are now and what lies ahead. Once complete, they will be placed in a train stations center, where this is considered their /spawn. From there, they may decide to continue to the Survival World, a custom-made world where the players may relax and enjoy a laid back SMP adventure with many custom plugins, features, and events to partake in. Otherwise, they may choose to continue their story and enjoy a multiplayer Persona experience. They will be able to then partake in the Persona related features in a completely different world. In this world, you will be able to rent housing or live in the free housing while you complete your tasks throughout the story. Daily life is solo, meaning any activities unless otherwise specified can only be done by a single player. In daily life, you may participate in multiple activities explained in more detail below that give you perk and stat boosts. You will have 5 stats to upgrade over time: Guts, Knowledge, Charm, Proficiency, and Kindness. These boosts will help you further advance your Confidant relationship, unlock items in shops, and unlock Thief Organization features. Thief Organizations are explained in detail below. Importantly, you will have a certain amount of time to do these activities before you must begin a story mission, meaning during this time most features will be locked. You may go through story palaces solo only, making mementos the only multiplayer palace. Within the story, you may spot other players as we can only hold a certain number of worlds, but they can’t even do as little as give you items and they will not be able to assist you in boss battles or other battles. The battles will be brought to life with plugins and texture packs along with challenging work. The fighting system will be explained below, as it will be different from Persona 5’s turn-based system due to the vanilla client limits. During the day, you may go into these palaces and continue the story further, find chests, fight shadows, solve puzzles, and unlock secret after secret. Over time, you will go up in rank depending on your amount of mementos treasures next to your amount of palace treasures. Ranking up gives you access to more features, commands, and even access to unique commands/features in Survival. Within survival, once there are a suffice number of active players, we will begin a series-like role-play, complete with a full story - apart from the playable one - that is player intractable, contains actors who are always in characters for you to visit with even out of story events, and gives players access to a plethora of different features. Though, sadly, players will merely only be able to act as the role of Confidants as the actors will have scripted and pre-made events going along with the role-play. On the other hand, players will still be able to interact and give advice to the actors as if they were actually along for the ride as a spectator. The role-play events will be explained further on the future Website as the feature itself is further planned. All in all, we will have many features that will keep you busy in this amazing community. This server will take time, effort, and money to create to its fullest so any donations – it be services or cash – would be greatly appreciated. We hope to see you on the website shortly!

_
Persona 5 is a role-playing video game where the player takes on the role of a high school student who lives out a single year while attending high school in Tokyo: the game is governed by a day-night cycle and weather systems that determine general behavior similar to a social simulation. When in the real world, the main protagonist can develop character relationships dubbed Confidant. With this system, the main protagonist can converse with and improve his relationship with other characters he meets, with some leading to possible romances. Each relationship is symbolized by one of the major arcana. Each Confidant link grants different boosts to the character. For example, all party members character eventually learns Baton Pass, which allows the player to change to another character after a critical hit while granting a temporary stat boost, while others improve Negotiation abilities, XP gain, or give access to new items and equipment. Alongside the normal school life is dungeon exploration of two different dungeon types within a realm called the Metaverse: story-specific dungeons called Palaces and randomly-generated Mementos dungeons both populated by Shadows, manifestations of suppressed psyches. Within Mementos dungeons, the party can fulfill requests from non-playable characters (NPCs) received from a Confidant links. While navigating, the party uses stealth to avoid the sight of enemy Shadows, and some areas hold puzzles that can be solved. When exploring story-centered Palaces, an "Alertness Meter" is present, where the party being spotted or fleeing combat results in security being raised. If security becomes too high, the party is forced to leave the Palace. As with previous entries in the series, the game uses a turn-based combat system: battles can be initiated when the party runs into an enemy, or they can launch a surprise attack and gain an advantage in battle. In battle, the party has access to long-range and short-range weapons, in addition to being able to summon Personas. Personas, the manifestations of the main characters' inner psyche, are summoned through the mask each character wears. Beginning with an initial Persona, the party uses elemental, physical and magical attacks: most enemies have a weakness. If a character strikes an enemy's weak point, they are awarded an additional turn and knock down the enemy. When all enemies are knocked down, a "Hold Up" session is triggered. During Hold Up, the party can launch a devastating All-Out Attack, demand money or items, or enter Negotiation. Negotiation allows the protagonist to win the selected Shadow over to their side to become a new Persona: they can only be persuaded if the protagonist is of the right level and has sufficient room in their roster. +-If a party member is knocked out, they can be captured by the enemy Shadows, and will be unable to return to the party if the resultant Negotiation fails. Similar to previous entries, party members can be knocked out, and if the main character is knocked out, the player immediately loses. s1.postimg.org/8kztmszqj3/Personas.png Personas are spirits of the multiverse that are awakened once the persona user comes to terms with the fact that they are not accepted in society but decides to do something about it and release the inner rebel soul within themselves. Normally, Persona users are only allowed to have one persona, though there are these godly beings known as Wild Cards hidden among them who may wield a infinite number of personas. New Personas are gained from battle through successful Negotiation, and different Persona types are represented through different arcana linked to Confidant links. Personas can in be combined, or "fused," and further manipulated within the Velvet Room, a realm the protagonist visits as part of his journey through the story where he can also accept side quests. Within the Velvet Room, Personas can be fused with "Guillotine" fusion processes, with the resultant Persona inheriting skills and stats from its parents. The more skills a Persona has, the more are passed on to the fused Persona. How powerful Personas are through fusion depends on how advanced its associated Confidant link is. In addition, Personas can be sacrificed in various ways, also styled after styles of capital punishment: "Hanging" grants a sacrificed Persona's experience points to another chosen Persona, and "Electric Chair" sacrifices one to create a high-end item. A Persona can also be sent into "Solitary Confinement", where they undergo intensive training and gain additional skills quicker than normal. The number of days a Persona must remain to gain strength lessens based on its arcana strength.
Alongside the normal school life is dungeon exploration of two different dungeon types within a realm called the Metaverse: story-specific dungeons called Palaces and randomly-generated Mementos -dungeons both populated by Shadows, manifestations of suppressed psyches. Palaces are cognitive manifestations of a persons distorted desires. Usually, these palaces are visual representations of how they view the world and people around them. For example, if someone thought they were a god and everyone below him were their peasants, then their palace would most likely resemble a temple or a religious settlement. The size of the palace along with the strength is dependent on how strong that persons desires are. These palaces, along with Mementos palaces, reward treasures you may sell for a significant amount of currency or use it to significantly boost your Main Person or backup persona. Treasures are also cognitive manifestations of a person’s desires, so a Gods may be a bible to them or a holy symbol. Within Mementos dungeons, the party can fulfill requests from non-playable characters (NPCs) received from a Confidant links. While navigating, the party uses stealth to avoid the sight of enemy Shadows, and some areas hold puzzles that can be solved using an insight ability dubbed "Third Eye", which highlights intractable objects and enemy strength. When exploring story-centered Palaces, an "Alertness Meter" is present, where the party being spotted or fleeing combat results in security being raised. If security becomes too high, the party is forced to leave the Palace. The Alertness level can be lowered by launching surprise attacks on and eliminating enemies.
_
The fighting system will be created using plugins and texture packs, creating a turn-based system fighting-cinematic like display. A turn based system is when each member of your team and each member of an enemy’s team takes turns doing different actions, usually accompanied with cinematic views. The fighting menu will consist of Persona (Using a Persona to fight), Guard (Block most damage), Item (Use items in battle to restore stats, give boosts, or do other actions), Gun (Shoot your ranged weapon at the enemy until the clip is empty – meaning multiple shots), Attack (Use your Melee weapon for 3 hits with a chance of critical), and Order (Command your Solo story-mode team mates to do different things). Along with fighting, you can also get the enemy to give in so you may negotiate for them to give you an item, team with you, or give you money. Along with yourself, you will be able to control 3 other spawned NPCs for the battle related to the story yet mementos is a player only palace and will consist of more shadows.
_
When in the real world, the main protagonist can develop character relationships dubbed Confidant. With this system, the main protagonist can converse with and improve his relationship with other characters he meets, with some leading to possible romances. Confidants could be people that help you fight, or findable characters within the world. Each relationship is symbolized by one of the major arcana. and each Confidant link grants different boosts to the character: all party members character eventually learn Baton Pass, which allows the player to change to another character after a critical hit while granting a temporary stat boost, while others improve Negotiation abilities, XP gain, or give access to new items and equipment. Confidants also come with a storyline of their own as you build your relationship with them by doing activities with the Confidant, and soon unlocking their hidden potential with your inspiring soul._
Mementos is a cognitive manifestation of the people, and holds the palaces of the people within. Mementos is an unknown existence that leads downward to the unknown. It consists of multiple sections and these sections contain different amounts of areas. These areas contain obstacles, chests, shadows, and other features related to story or requests. Within Mementos dungeons, the party can fulfill requests from non-playable characters (NPCs) received from a Confidant links. Basically, they are dungeons going up in difficulty as you descend. Sections are unlocked according to number of treasures gathered, but the enemies still may be too difficult to battle. At the end of each section, there is a boss that rewards 2 treasures upon defeat. Mementos also has a secret hidden in the depths, so make sure to get to the very end!
_
Daily activities are what will fill up a majority of your time in the Persona world. These activities give you boosts to your social stats, experience, character stats ( health, stamina, attack), and other various things. Here is a list of a few examples of these activities:
- Going to work
- Playing at the ball park
- Fishing
- Taking the Challenge
- Studying
- Soaking in the public bath
-Reading
- Making Infiltration tools
These activities are few of what we have planned, and will be efficiently made so you may continue further into your adventure.
_
Thief Organizations is a plugin in which is similar to a Guild, where players can join up and go into Mementos or survive together in the survival world. In the Persona world, the plugin will have a large number of interesting features that will make Mementos, daily life, and Story palaces more exciting. In survival, the features will be less and a bit different, making it more of a clans-like plugin. Thief Organizations are created by players at a certain rank, and are in no way related to any story. This will be further explained as information is gathered.
_
As of right now, you can not apply for staff or development team. I am currently working on getting the servers documents complete (Punishment charts, Rules, Staff/development team guidelines, etc.) After all the documents are complete (which should be done around the time the website is), I will begin the creation of the custom worlds myself. This will keep me busy while I open applications, advertise them, and start handing out assignments to everyone. There will be NO date set for the severs release until we are certain we are financially and functionally stable. You may be able to keep up with updates on the server’s forum posts and the server’s website itself. Applications for Development team (Plugin Devs for survival, Story Writers, Graphic Artists, Plugin Configurators, Development Manager, etc.) will be open within a week, though access to the discord is open. If you would like to donate or assist in the creation of the server, or have a business proposal, please post a comment here/PM me with your Discord/Email and your reason for contact request.
