Welcome to the Atlas Project, an immersive, new Minecraft experience

Players find themselves as refugees from their ruined worlds, arriving in the world of Atlas just in time to see the resurgence of a dangerous cult, thought to be eradicated long ago. Through exploration of the unique, hand-painted world, completing the hundreds of available quests across dozens of NPC towns, and even building their own nations to compete on the world stage, players must make choices that affect their gameplay and reputation throughout Atlas and craft their own unique legacy!

With our custom nation and town system, you can establish civilizations around the custom world of Atlas. Create powerful Nations with countless Towns under your rule, climb the ranks of your peers, and see if you have what it takes to expand your influence!






Atlas contains 100% handmade, custom terrain! Explore the cold wastelands of the Drakon Isles, to the dense trees of the Zarakam Jungle! With their own biome-related materials and natural wonders, take the opportunity to explore and adventure into the unknown.






Take the fight to your enemies by declaring a siege on one of their strongholds. Blast through their walls and wreak havoc on their civilians and riches! With our custom-made siege system, you won’t have to worry about destroyed buildings or ravaged treasuries in the aftermath, for opponents will only gain a small percentage of the profit whilst the damages are reverted back. If you don't want to be involved with a siege, then you can also surrender with a small fee instead.






Players may train in one of three schools of Magic on Atlas: Elemental, Holy, or Unholy. Each school of magic has its own unique array of spells, only available to mages who have studied in that type of spellcasting. All spells on Atlas are bound to Wands, which become unlocked for purchase from NPCs as players advance through their magic training. With your own wand, fight alongside your comrades or explore the world with magic at your fingertips.






There are many available ways to gain commerce in the server, ranging from the smuggling of goods to the mastery of trade through merchant shops in Atlas’ fluctuating economy. Strategize using supply and demand to expand your wealth, or even spark economic warfare!






Create unique items through custom recipes and experimentation to gain powerful tools that can give you an edge in combat. Through custom skills like Tannery, Smeltery, and Fletchery, aid your teammates with an array of armor and weapons that have a variety of properties and abilities that can change the tides of war.






With dozens of NPC towns across Atlas, players can explore hours of expansive storylines and dynamic-branching dialogue options! The choices you make in action and conversation affect gameplay and your character's reputation throughout the world. Earn valuable rewards, including powerful and unique items, along with in-game titles throughout your journey! Craft your character’s legacy however you want!




We have gathered a group of admins and moderators that are dedicated to their craft and will make sure to assist with any problems regarding the server. Feel free to ask them for any assistance as long as you follow the rules of the server and discord chat.






Get your companions involved in dungeons, gather unique fish from the depths of the water, drink your life away with alcoholic recipes, become part of the story with community/lore events, and so much more!

Must show proficiency with Photoshop, video editors, or other digital art creation tools.
Main Job - Create video, graphics, and various other digital art for the server and website.

Texture Artist
Must be able to create custom textures on an experienced level.
Main Job - To produce textures that'll be implemented into the server for custom items, NPCs, etc.

Discord Bot Dev
Must be able to develop and update a Discord bot.
Main Job - To be able to create and manage an Atlas Discord bot that will assist players with information of the server.

Atlas Combat Fixes / Update
- Poison damage was not being affected by the damage nerf, this has now been resolved.
- Potion arrows were not accounted for, they now fall under the potion category for damage nerf.
Note: This update goes into effect after the next restart.

- Fixed Kairos Armor not doing a full radius effect, and therefore refusing to work.
- Fixed Kairos Armor not taking effect on Wheat crops.

Atlas Combat Potion Bug
- An exploit has been found to circumvent the negative debuffs of potions. If you are aware of this exploit and are caught using it you will face purgatory. Not sure if what you found is an exploit with potions? Ask now so you don't have to worry about it later.

Atlas Combat Fixes
- Buff potion arrows now actually apply the negative effect as well as the positive effect now

I saw this talked about in the chat logs so I'll address this here:
Throwing a buff potion onto your enemy will NOT apply the negative effect to them, they will only receive the positive effect. For example, throwing a strength pot onto an enemy player hoping that they will receive the hunger as well will not work. The enemy player will only get the strength potion effect.

Atlas Combat Update: Phase 1
- Armors now have a "weight" based off of the material of the armor applied in the following percentages:
- Leather: 7% slower
- Gold: 11% slower
- Iron: 15% slower
- Diamond: 20% slower
Effectively 1 armor point equals 1% slowdown based on the vanilla armors.
- Overall damage nerf
- All types of damage (physical, magical, and projectile) now do 33% less damage
- Potions Nerf
- When buff potions are applied, they have an automatic debuff potion applied as well

There will be 2 phases to the Atlas Combat Overhaul, this update aims to slow down the meta and will give me the opportunity to gather data. Utilizing this data I will be better prepared for Phase 2 or the Smeltery / Tannery rework.

Duels Update
(This update went into effect a couple of days ago, but has stayed silent because I wanted to see how the plugin was affecting server performance)
- BYOG kit now actually saves your inventory (so no more durability loss in a duel).
- There were issues with how death in a duel was handled, this seems to be resolved but I'll keep an eye on it.
- Duels was running some fairly inefficient code (tourney code) which was completely rewritten and greatly improves the performance of the plugin and in turn server.

Quest Update
- The group quest "Odera Manor" has been fixed (it should no longer be possible to access parts of the manor without being on the appropriate objective.)
- If a player dies in the sewers or the boss room, they can talk to the NPC outside the manor to be teleported back to that area.
- Players who have already attempted this quest and not completed it (due to a previous bug or otherwise) will have to contact an admin to have their progress manually reset.

Quest Update
- The group quest “Azurebane” is re-enabled, and the dragon fight now takes place in a brand-new arena (thanks to Adara for the awesome build!).
- “Azurebane” is now a weekly repeatable quest
- The 1-week cooldown on “Azurebane” begins as soon as the quest is received - therefore players who die during the fight will need to wait a week before attempting again (and will not be able to personally retrieve their items.).
- Players who have already completed the “Azurebane” quest will not be able to group with players who are completing it for the first time (and vice versa.).
Grappling Hook Update
- Valid grapple point blocks now include: Iron Blocks, Gold Blocks, Diamond Blocks, and Emerald Blocks.
Chairs Update
- Chairs should now be less buggy.

I know many of you have been waiting for this announcement... I'm back from China! Technically I've been back for a few days now and just trying to recover from jetlag, but lets not get caught up in the details...

Ok, so probably not the actual announcement you've been waiting for, so let me try again... It's time for our next State of the Server! Our last one was at the beginning of the summer over 2 months ago and its time we get everyone together to share with you all what we've been up to and what to expect in the future!

So what is State of the Server? With a bunch of new player, I felt I'd lay down the explanation, so for those veterans out there feel free to skip to the next paragraph. State of the Server (SotS) is our way of coming together with the community to celebrate the server and share what the next few months (and beyond) of development have in store. We have staff promotions,and we answer all your burning questions, both about current events, but also about the upcoming stuff as well! It's always a blast, and as always I'll make sure to tell you what I'm having for dinner!

We'll be having the next SotS on Friday the 17th at 7:00pm CST. That's, just over a few days away, so clear your schedules and get ready! We have a bunch of cool stuff to talk about and we want to get your feedback and answer your questions. See y'all there!

- Nation coffers will now only hold a maximum 140,000 gems.

MythicMobs Update
- The following overworld mobs have new custom skins: Swamp Ogres, Vantian Warlords, Shen Mutants, Arkayo Cultists, Illusioners.
- The following dungeon mobs have new custom skins: Infested Telarians, Arkayo Choppers, Sludge Corpses.
- The Arkayo Corruptor and Xalar's Apprentice mini-bosses in Kairos have received custom skins, and will now properly show their boss bar.
- The Drakonguard Captain mini-boss in Drakonfell has received a custom skin and will now properly show a boss bar.
- Swamp Ogres no longer burn in sunlight, and have had their speed increased.
- Vantian Warlord spawn rates have been further reduced.

Dungeons:
- The bug where the Kairos exit door sometimes wouldn't open upon killing the boss has been fixed
Shops:
- Eastwind Arms & Armor is re-opened for business, and is now dynamic.
- Telarian Arms & Armor is re-opened for business, and is now dynamic. The shop will also now buy items as well as sell.

Being the developer that was called that you're speaking of, I find it a bit insulting that you twisted my words. I did not develop the bot you were speaking of, simply set it up. As for the chat mod being rude to you from when you joined, I looked back at the conversation when I was pinged just to see you joining the server and immediately disrespecting the work developers have put in to this intricate server by "critiquing" everything they had done, literally spouting ignorant nonsense and commanding them as if they were dumb children. You had not logged into the server itself before, you came on to the discord to troll, and that's what you did. Doing the same on our forum post is yet again more disrespectful, and is just making you seem moreso like a fool.

Would you care to say the name of which admin you contacted, because the admins of Atlas have a reputation of not "batting things off", and instead being very thorough in resolving issues.

Economy Fixes
- The price scaling/dropoff for most items has been significantly decreased.
- Buying or selling a stack (as listed in a shop) will now correctly only affect the stock by 1 (i.e. selling 64 Oak Logs to a Lumber Merchant that buys full stacks will now increase that stock by 1, not 64).
- Food Merchants now only buy and sell full stacks of food (besides cakes), and food prices have been rebalanced
- A shop's stock will now regenerate based on a percentage of its stock difference, rather than a flat amount.
- It is no longer possible to sell an item for 0g.
- Logs can now be bought for 80g/stack.
- Merchants will stop buying an item if it reaches twice its average stock. Most shop items' average stocks have been raised to 1,000.
- The sell price of Mythic Loot has been doubled.

Cartography Update!

You've been waiting long enough for this one (sorry ^^; ), but hopefully this new Atlas mechanic can help new and old players navigate alike! Introducing the Cartographer's Compass!

Summoning the Compass
The compass, much like the Quest Journal, is an infinite, any-time use item. You can summon it by simply typing /cartography. Furthermore, much like the Quest Journal, it will disappear simply by throwing it away, or dying. You can see the multitude of commands for it with /cartography help.

Cartographer's Compasses have three modes of which you can use them. Upon right clicking with them, you'll see three options to choose from: Death Points, NPC Towns, and Custom Waypoints.

Death Points
Did you just die in the wilds, and forgot to grab your coords? Fear not, the Cartographer Compass is on your side! Make sure to choose this node, and that pesky little needle will point to your latest demise. Make sure to hurry up before your items despawn!

NPC Towns
Have trouble finding NPC Towns on foot, and don't want to pay the fast travel fees? Use the Cartographer's Compass! New Cartographer NPCs are available in each of the NPC towns, now unlocking the NPC Town Node that they're in. Remember: find a new town? Look for the Cartographer NPC!

Custom Waypoints
Need to set a waypoint for your mine, homebase, or other important landmark on the server? Now you can! Make sure to use /cartography <X-Coordinate Value> <Z-Coordinate Value> <Waypoint Name> or even /cartography here <Waypoint Name> [To use your current coordinates] to make a new custom waypoint! You can also delete waypoints by right clicking on the blue wool in the Custom Waypoint Menu.
(Note: Waypoint Names can be up to 100 characters long, and work with Minecrafts Color codes using the '&' symbol!)
