[size=150%]About The Pack:[/size]
The server is based around the old west. It features open world pvp where only spawn is safe. We use towny to encourage players to band together and work as a team to protect themselves from bandits and prosper. We have custom guns from the historic west including repeater rifles, revolvers, shotguns and scoped rifles. To encourage PvP and raiding, the servers uses physical based currency so players will have to ensure their bases are secure! We make heavy use of the CustomNPCs mod to provide a bank, shops and quests.

It is very easy to join our server and requires little effort. Before proceeding, make sure to read http://wildwest.retg.net/common-fixes/ so you know how to deal with any issues. If you get stuck or you need help, join our discord, we have a support channel!
1. Download the Technic launcher from: http://www.technicpack.net/download.
2. Install the client and log in with your minecraft account.
3. Now that you are logged in, click the modpacks tab.
4. In the search bar, type 'Wild West Frontier', click the pack on the left and press Install.
5. Hit play. It really is that simple!

Its a good damn server, Only one I've ever played really and I see no reason to stop playing it so I highly suggest it.

Wild West Frontier has been updated to version 3.24
- Fixed an issue with music causing crashes.
- Replaced two duplicate music files
- Added new graphics to forge
- Added various skins for questing
- Added Exotic Birds mod
- Fixed settings for Weather2 so it will rain again
- Removed elephant sounds from savannah
- Removed gorillas sounds from jungle
- Decreased the size of the Colt Navy
- Removed the distortion of the Colt Walker 1847 shoot sounds

Because the infamous Grizzly bear has returned to wild west frontier, along with it's small cousin the black bear. Though rare, these animals are extremely powerful and will kill the average person. If you see one, run.

Fixed the wild west donation store so they give land deeds again, fixed the in-game message constantly saying "explorer rank" regardless of what was purchased and also added a $30 package.

Migration to the new host is complete, you should see better performance on the server.

By far, this is the best western-style server in all of Minecraft. A thematic map rich with life and vitality, the perfect mix of westernesque mods, engaging quests, and a whole lot of fun and friendly settlers and prospectors (along with a few villains and bandits too) makes the Wild West Frontier an enjoyable way to waste the day :D Join today!

A big barrier stopping alot of people joining is the the fact it's got mods needing to be installed. For example I'd definitely join and check it out cos it looks great and I love red dead redemption, but I can't be bothered with launchers and mods. Everything you're trying to do is perfectly doable in vanilla as well

If you believe what we have done is achievable in vanilla, you will be shocked. There is only a single launcher to download, no new accounts to make, no files to mess around with, just one single program and you are done. :) Give us a try, it takes like 2 minutes to get the launcher and pack installed.

Wild West Frontier is a really unique pack, one of which I hadn't really seen before. It's a western theme, as expected, but there's more to it than just some fancy cowboy hats and gun-toting rocks. There's towns in this world, each with their own civilians that need help in one way or another. Whether it be feeding the poor, finding spirits, or making..stew. There's a lot to be done here. And that's just for questing. There's a load of guns that fit the wild west theme, and they're pretty powerful. I shot a bear with a revolver a good few times and I won.I shot a darn dragonfly with my rifle and missed 8 or 9 times, but that's neither here nor there. What I'm saying is, if you haven't tried this pack out, do it! It's a lot of fun for everyone. :)

Woops, looks like one of our admins messed up the friendly NPC faction so people could be murdered by the intro NPC. Sorry about that! It's now fixed....

-Disabled the better foilage mod by default to help free up some
RAM for new players. If you want to re-enabled it, go to your modpack
directory (you can open it from modpack options on the launcher) and
rename BetterFoliage-MC1.7.10-2.0.14.jar.disabled tp

- Sharps rifle ammo more expensive to make.
- Added blunderbuss with ammo and parts.
- Added models for remmington 1858 and lemat revolver. Changed their ammo types to 36 cal ball.

- Added dynamite sticks and dynamtie packs.
- Added molotovs.
