Even when I try to find ideas, none of them work out. Lately, I've been working on a texture pack and actually playing the game. I'm worried I'm going to lose interest in making skins

I agree with zagejk about taking requests.
Either that or you could challenge yourself by choosing a certain colour or theme to see what you come up with, and there's no shame in taking inspiration from pictures or other's skins

maybe you could make a skin request forum post? if so, that would probably get you busy.
I used to be an active skinner, but I really just play minecraft, and post on this here forums. not skinning is a laid back way of life, but with skinning, you could possibly become famous.
