I Need so help with shading or a better program for skinning ive made 1 skin it was ok but the body was HD-ish shaded but the clothes wasnt i use

Yeah i know i got it off a friend he said i could use it for free.
Ive download MCSkin3D its great i just need to know how to shade my self like shading the clothes and hair etc.
You didn't shade the whole skin, I personally use skinedit, but I know others use Photoshop, GIMP, and Paint.NET,
