How did some users make a "hovering head"-skin with invisible body?
Hello
As i searched here for Angry Birds - skins, i found some cool effects:
The head of the "Steve"-figure is the whole bird and the body, arms and legs are invisible.
that makes that little bird hovering in a fixed hight above the ground
how did they do that?

Our skin previewer supports full transparency for viewing purposes.
Minecraft does not. Transparent parts appear black in-game.

but if i try to upload such a skin, it turns black in preview too...

What file type are you trying to upload? If it's not a PNG, then I'd imagine that's why.

it´s a PNG, i made with GIMP.
I saw the parts black in the four-sides-preview, that already appears in the "Create Submission"-page.
So i canceled the upload.

How did they make this:
https://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/angry-birds-/
Put a landscape in the background of the animated preview, and you see, the body is invisible and not just colored like the light blue image-background.

It’s an illusion. They use the same color of blue as on the backgrounds of the skin to make it seem as if there is blank space in that area.

i also see in the 3d-preview at the left, that the body is invisible.
i can turn around the model and see the whole bottom of the head.
And i can change the background there and still see the whole background, where the body has to be.
Here is a sample for that:

My buddy was doing the same thing back when it was still not accepted to have any invis parts. He was just using an android app on his phone.

i´m looking for a way only to use my pc and online-editors, because my smarthhone is to full to download another app

either they painted the rest of the body the same as the background or they used a skin editor on another site

I looked around on the skin-pages here on the site, where i can download them or generate papercraft-sheets.
i think, skin-editor was useh, because i played around with the 3d-model on the page of that skin and saw the whole bottom of the head.
now i tried the minecraft skin editor with the pumpkin-icon.
Bur the result is a black body....
