Hi, I'm quite new to skinning, so I'm using bases. The only problem is that I don't know how to merge bases (or if it is even possible)? If there is a way, can someone please tell me, or explain it to me? Thanks -Sebby.

1. Get a program called Paint.net, I use that program to make personal skins.
2. Once you get open up the program, you click "File" and then click on the "Open..." button.
3. You look for the skin base that you want to use.
4. After you found your main base, click on the "Layers" tab and click on "Import from file..."
5. Now that you have two skin files, mess around with the Rectangle selector and delete some parts of the skin you don't want(as long as you have the outer base unchecked).
6. Save it on your hard drive somewhere you can find it easily (Be sure it's a ".PNG" file) and click on "Okay" and "Flatten", have it load.
7. BOOM! You're done. :P

if you are talking about a hair base and merging it with a clothes base. (as a example)
then no you can't.

Yes, you can... I use paint.net to merge those two together.

yea you can do it that way, but I think its just way too much work for a skin in my opinion.

Can you give an example on what you're trying to do?

For example adding the "hat" layer onto the face/head type of thing?

I'm trying to add a skin on top of another skin- but by the lack of responses, I don't think that is possible.

Actually, it is possible. You just need to use an image editing software and just stack the layer right on top of the other. Of course, you may need to do touchups before and after.
