My new skin, any advice on shading

I just made this skin, I am not satisfied with the shading on the actual skin, (I kinda like the dress as is) any good tutorials or tips and tricks?

on your shading now, your skin has a white box around its head, thats not good, and its because you used a program that didn't support transparency, try MCSkin3D, its one of the links i posted up above
your shading is pretty simplistic, not bad, but it could be much better

If you go on a skin making website called minershoes.com it has a shading option. On the option skin editor on the top right there is a large paintbrush. Click on it. Choose your colour and it will automatically shade it.

If you are going to do this, i dont think you are allowed to post it, shading programs and other programs that dont allow you to make it your self are banned, but i dont know, ask a member of staff if this is allowed.

oliversmith7 is right, and those kinds of 'skin makers' aren't user-friendly. Many skinners including me use MCSkin3D by Paril.
