1 Sentence Stories
Welcome to the 1 Sentence Stories contest, hosted by GoggleD0GG! In this contest, you must make a original story-but in one sentence! The laws of American English are such that you could technically carry on a sentence forever, and that is what you must do in this contest.
Rules for submission-
-Must be at least 350 characters.
-Must obey the laws of grammar (it's okay if you kinda screw up on this one, as long as it doesn't have any obvious mistakes.)
-Must be a PMC blog.
-Must be 100% original.
-Must be submitted before February 10, 2k18.
Entries will be judged on Originality & Concept, Presentation (images and such), and Execution. Since it's hard to put a whole story into one sentence, you can add a prologue and epilogue, both of which must be one sentence. You can also submit multiple stories that relate to each other, but they all must be in one blog and not follow-ups to a previous story. Your entry will be judged by averaging the quality of your stories.

will i be exempt from winning prizes....?

No. The way my judging system works is that each judge will give each submission three ratings out of 100-One for originality + concept, one for presentation, and one for Execution. The person with the most overall points would be the winner. Since you cannot judge for yourself, I would judge your submission and add the points I give you to your total.
1
Also, does characters mean letters...?
1
Characters include spaces, punctuation and letters.
2
Let's hope people actually join this lol

Take your time, making a story within 1 sentence is tough.
2
By the way, maybe you should have this contest be in the comments, 350 characters is pretty short for a blog, but not too long for the comments, if anything it's better for the comments, as anyone with an original concept can probably write 350 characters of it within a few minutes, and then they can go along their way, and later be notified of how they did.
2
350 is the character limit for blogs, that's where I got it from.

Here's my entry: I entered a writing contest, and then won first place.
Aw rats, I just realized it's supposed to be 350 words. Oh, well, you said one sentence, this is what you get.
Also, 350 words in one sentence makes it a run-on sentence, so technically you're going to have to take away points from everyone for breaking the rules of grammar.

The idea is that you find enough loopholes in the rules of grammar to make it sort-of grammatically correct. Here's a example: I've always been out searching for more than the black-and-white that often surrounds me, like a beast chasing me down, stalking me as I walk the streets, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year until I find something, even if it's just a little something, to save me; I'm not asking for power, I'm not begging for attention, I'm searching for color.
SHOOT I JUST REALIZED I PUT WORDS NOT CHARACTERS AHHH
10 bucks and you mention that fact to no one.

Ill volunteer to be a judge.
I identify as ketchup.
I identify as ketchup.
2
As a toaster, I have an extreme respect for ketchups. We both face many of the same struggles, such as foolish humans deeming our worth based on our relation to FOOD!! That's INSANE!!
3
Sorry, you burnt my toast so I can't take you seriously.
2
Not all of us are that way!

I took your ketchup
Wait...
I AM your ketchup...

Hmmm do I want to judge, or enter....? :/
3
You can do both, I'll judge the submissions from the people who judged and submitted. The way I'm going to do this is that each judge will rate each submission on three scales of 1-100 (Originality, Grammar, Execution), then I'll add up all the points for that submission and the three entrants with the highest scores will be the winners. Since you wouldn't be able to judge your own submission, I would judge it to make up for the three missing ratings.
3
Aye you know that's a canny idea!
3
So would you like to do both?
2
Aye sure!
3
It's only fair, in my opinion.
2
I could be a judge, if you want me to
2
Glad you volunteered.
