I am fairly new to Lightwave with modelling and I have an issue. I am modelling a gun and it was actually going fine until I started on the handle; for some reason the handle is a dark grey compared to the normal light grey and ignores when I apply a surface texture(I applied a wood texture just for demonstration):

I've never used lightwave, but it looks like you've made the handle as a seperate mesh.

Im not sure because even if it was, it should be that lighter grey you can see on part of it. Thanks for the suggestion tho
