I had 1 exp until the next level (45), and when I posted a comment, instead of bumping up to 45, it just started me back out at 44, like I had just leveled up from 43. Is that supposed to happen?

Yeah that's happened to me before, instead of bumping me up, it put me down one. You just give it a little bit of time
