actually it can cost less than 1k to build a gaming computer, my friend built one for £600. However, I do not reccommend you build one unless you understand about where all the leads have to plugin and how they plugin (I'm talking about the ones inside the computer that plugin into the motherboard at certain places) and what the different compontents that are needed are. You would also need to know what the drivers that are required are and where to get them from (it isn't reccomended to download them from any website)

Make sure you don't have any other programs open while running Minecraft. It seems your CPU is not very fast, which is probably causing the problem. You can't fix it without getting a more powerful one, but you can install optifine, dedicate 2GBs of ram, close down your internet explorer, etc.

None of you are noticing that I am reaching minecrafts MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS.
My old laptop was older than this and it passed the minimum requirements aswell and it could run minecraft good
AND IT HAD LESS RAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so heres what i think i think that since it is a laptop the problem with laptops however is the fact that they overheat fast and the hotter they get more slowly they will run.In the minecraft settings pannel try to change performance to max fps and get optifine.

Please explain the matter of when I fixed my old laptop (Not this one) which is older with a nvidia 7400 go and 2 gig ram with windows xp it ran faster

Because the Nvidia 7400 GO is a dedicated card with it's own set of ram, and XP uses less ram than Windows 7/Vista. Your old laptop has a better graphic's card, and less ram usage overall, While your Mum's laptop has 2gb of usuable ram while running Minecraft, not all of which will be used by your Intel HD 3000.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

If its a desktop, just upgrade the graphics card to a AMD Radeon 6450 or a NVidia GT 210, There older cards, but they run minecraft fine at atleast 40+ fps

Can you try downloading the old 1.5.2 launcher and telling me if you have the same lag? There is a problem with the new launcher on Intel Cards, and this might be affecting you.

This is no longer valid. The latest launcher update fixed the issue with intel cards. However, you MUST be using Mojang's launcher, and not Magic Launcher or any other, as they will still have the issue.

My recommendation to you, is to go intel's site and update to the latest and greatest chipset driver. The computer came stock with a manufacturer's driver, those suck. It is like they intentionally drown what little power integrated graphics have.

The other thing is to not expect much. The 3000 graphics are old, they only support up to DX10. And they share memory with your system, here's what we gotta look at, you're OS is using 1 of 4 gigs. Minecraft is using 1 of 4 gigs, which leaves 2 gigs of 1333 Mhz RAM for your card to run off of, and that is not even close to what 2 gigs of dedicated RAM would do.

However, I still expect you to be able to run playable on low settings, maybe even slightly higher. An excellent addition would be Optifine. Install it directly to MC though, remember. No Magic Launcher.

Good luck in your search.

I am aware this is no longer valid, However Intel's Official fix did not work with Intel HD 3000 cards, and I believe this also transferred over to the new launcher, albeit not as serious. I do agree with you however, Try finding the latest driver for your chipset using either device manager or Intel's site.

-XMX1G only lets Minecraft use 1GB of ram, but you have 4. I wouldn't recommend giving it more than 2 though, because this can make the problem worse. The real problem is your Graphics Card. My old laptop had Intel HD, While my new one has HD 4000. The Intel HD is the oldest of the Intel cards and, while it could run Minecraft up to about 1.2, After that it became outdated and dropped to about 5fps or lower for me. It will run games like TF2 because it's really well optimised, but I'm afraid it's not going to be able to run Minecraft at over 5fps if it runs. Nothing you can do about this I'm afraid.

EDIT: That specs log says you have Intel HD 3000. Are you 100% sure those are your specs?

It only says intel HD graphics!
Im really confused!
Also it may be a problem from allocated memory.
So I go on the launcher and do -XMX1G and when on minecraft i press f3 and it says "allocated memory : 12% - 128mb" and i put it on high priority but, it still only uses 25% of the cpu when a reasonable ammount of 50 would be better
