I recently bought a new gaming computer(built it myself) but it's starting to have some issues. On all games my fps has dropped from around 500 to 60 or less and occasionally crashes. I've already ran a memory test and the RAM is working fine, as well as multiple malware and virus scans and nothing came up. I'm not sure what else to do so I was wondering if anyone could please help me!

"IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" error:

This bug check is issued if paged memory (or invalid memory) is accessed when the IRQL is too high. The error that generates this bug check usually occurs after the installation of a faulty device driver, system service, or BIOS.

1. Restart your computer.
2. Press F8 at the character-based menu that displays the operating system choices.
3. Select the Last Known Good Configuration option from the Windows Advanced Options menu. This option is most effective when only one driver or service is added at a time.

Does your CPU overload when playing minecraft?
How much RAM have you allocated?
Have you modded minecraft?
What GPU do you have?

Ok what you do is install driver booster 2 update your computer drivers THEN on your computer search, search "my pc" or "computer" then when one of them shows up right click on properties, THEN click on "advanced system settings" then performance settings. then a window should appear and click on the tap that says advanced, then under virtual memory select change, unclick automatically manage paging files. click custom size: then under initial size and maximum size put the number 9216. close every thing and restart

Try updating your drivers. All of them. If that doesn't work then you very well might have hardware failure. Bring it to a pc shop if this doesn't work.

Everything is updated, cpu temps are at the average for an i7, and there are no fragments, and my computer is set to optimize & defragment drives weekly, but I still am getting random crashes and my fps is still low, most frequent one is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Give us some specs? What games? What resolution?

Are you letting Windows update? Letting your drivers update?

make sure your driver's are up to date! Did you install anything that may be taking system resources?

Most of the time, if its software not hardware, formatting & reinstalling Windows or your OS will fix the issue
